ASPIRE AUSTRALIA has always taken an active interest in the environment.

On World Environment Day in June 2008, we told the world of our commitment to reducing our footprint on the planet!

This year, for World Environment Day on 5 June 2009, we acknowledge our continued commitment to operating in an ecologically sustainable way and to encouraging those within the Aspire Australia community to join us.

Aspire Australia continues to:

• Reduce energy consumption through more efficient use of lighting and electrical equipment
  
  
• Recycle paper, plastic containers, plastic bags and tins
  
  
• Reduce operational waste
  
  
• Source and use eco-friendly products
  
  
• Offset carbon emissions from our air travel

 

At Aspire Australia, we believe that, as individuals, we can make changes in our own lives, can influence others and thereby make change within our community.

 

And so, on World Environment Day we are initiating a process for implementing ESD initiatives in our work place following the model of defining our policy, stating our targets, defining the process, researching initiatives, agreeing actions, implementing them, reviewing then considering fresh options once more.
